Hi, I’m Richard Waring, and I’m a personal injury attorney in Charleston, SC. If you’ve been in a car wreck or other type of automobile accident, a slip and fall or other kind of premises liability accident, or some other form of personal injury incident where you were injured, you might have asked yourself, do I really need a personal injury attorney? If you want someone who knows the laws and can handle the case while you focus on healing or getting back to work, the answer is yes. See, the insurance company that represents the at fault party who caused the car wreck or who owns the business where you slipped and fell doesn’t want to pay you any more than they have to in order to make the case go away quickly. When they see that you don’t have an attorney, insurance companies love to extend low ball offers where they offer far less than what your injuries might be worth.

You’ve just been in a devastating accident, and your injuries may even be catastrophic. Now is not the time to wing it only to get a sub-par result. You need an attorney who can aggressively hold the insurance company accountable, who knows the laws, who can investigate the case for you and uncover evidence as well as hire experts if need be, and who can otherwise try to get you the highest settlement you’re entitled to. When all else fails and the insurance company refuses to settle in a way that amply compensates you, you’ll need an attorney who is not afraid to duke it out in the trial court and get a good result. So, the next time you ponder whether you should represent yourself in your important car wreck case, slip and fall, or other personal injury case, strongly consider giving yourself the benefit of having someone on your side who can proactively and aggressively negotiate with the insurance company by hiring an attorney.

If you’re in the Charleston, SC area and Lowcountry of South Carolina, feel free to give me a call anytime and we can discuss your important personal injury case and get cracking on getting you the compensation you deserve. I’m committed to doing a great job on your personal injury case. Best of luck.
